The word summer brings different things to mind for everyone. For some its the beach, for others it’s vacation, but for us… it’s BBQ Season! We’ve been waiting for months to break out the grill and cook up delicious meals. Nothing beats a backyard BBQ with good friends and cold drinks on a sunny afternoon.
Every year, new products come out to make our BBQs easier and more enjoyable, but how do you know which ones are just hype (like the SlapChop – ha!) and which ones are best? We’ve gone through hundreds of BBQ products and have picked out a few which we feel are the Best New BBQ Products of 2018. We have reviewed them for you so you can spend less time shopping and more time grilling (and eating!).
Weber Rapidfire 7416 Chimney Starter
No more waiting for charcoal to heat, no more lighter fluid!I think that most people will agree that charcoal grilled burgers taste better, but getting those little briquettes to light can be a huge hassle. Sure you can buy the instant-light bricks, but do you really like the taste or smell of lighter fluid on your food?
The best solution we found is the Rapidfire Chimney starter by Weber. And although this is not a brand new product, it has been recently upgraded and improved. There are a lot of similar chimney-style starters on the market, some are cheaper and some are more expensive, but we chose the one because of the history and quality of the Weber brand.
Weber has been around since 1952 when George Stephen Sr. built the world’s first round kettle grill. Not only does Weber make top-of-the-line grills (such as the Weber Genesis) but they make high quality accessories and grill cleaning products found in major retail stores such as HomeDepot or online. Their prices are fantastic as well!
But anyways, back to the Rapidfire Chimney Starter. All you need is crumpled newspaper, charcoal and a match to get your coal grill-ready. Simply place a 1-2 sheets of crumpled newspaper at the bottom, fill the divide with charcoal and then light the newspaper with a match from a hole in the bottom side and place the chimney on top of your grill grate.
The coals will heat evenly and quickly and are ready to use in about 10 minutes. Simply pour out the hot coals into your grill and you’re ready to cook! The chimney holds enough charcoal briquettes for a 22-1/2-inch kettle grill. This product is well-made, light weight and gets the job done. And, the price is great too!
- Heats charcoal quickly and evenly
- Aluminized steel with stay-cool thermoplastic handle
- Holds enough briquettes for a 22-1/2-inch kettle grill

Spend less time waiting and more time cooking so you can get to the best part – EATING!
Stake 3-in-1 BBQ Tool
Why use multiple tools when one does the perfect job? This is such a genius product that really speaks for itself. The 3-in-1 BBQ Tool by Quirky eliminates the need to have that pile of tools next to your BBQ – which no one ever wants to clean afterwards. This tool combines a slide-out fork that hides away at will, leaf spring tongs, and a big spatula into one well-made and easy-to-use one tool.
It’s easy to slide the fork out of its hideout as it has the button at the handle where you can push it forward/backward to reveal/retract the fork. This is one of those products that makes us as the questions “why didn’t someone make this years ago?” and also “why do people keep buying those expensive bbq tool sets?” Yes, at $29.99 it is not the cheapest BBQ tool around, but we recommend spending a little extra to save time, cleaning and storage space – plus your friends will love it at your next BBQ!

Grill Daddy GD12952c Pro Grill Brush
Clean your grill with ease with the Power of Steam!Do you love your stainless steel BBQ but hate cleaning the grill afterwards? I know we do! The scrubbing, scratching, sweating….well not any more! When Grill Daddy released the Grill Pro Grill Brush, we knew we had to buy one. The amazing Grill Daddy Pro releases a measured amount of water that turns to grease-melting steam the instant it touches your preheated grill.
How It Works
This powerful sanitizing, liquefying action literally melts away charred buildup. Just glide the stainless-steel brush along the grill. Use the double-duty scraper brush for tough grime and hard-to-clean areas. Unlike any other brush, the patented Grill Daddy Pro is made from high-temperature heat-resistant ABS plastic and approved by the National Safety Foundation (NSF) for use with potable water.
At 22 inches from end to end, the Grill Daddy Pro is specially designed to protect your hands from grill heat while cleaning large hot grills and features two ergonomic handles that provide maximum cleaning leverage. It has a 2-cup water capacity which delivers tons of steam to clean even the largest grill without having to refill.
Simple To Use
Preheat the grill (or wait until if cools down after you finish cooking), fill your Grill Daddy Pro with water, turn on the water valve and brush away caked on food residue and grease. As you brush, the Grill Daddy Pro releases just the right amount of water; the water hits the hot grill, turns to steam, and rinses away burnt-on food, grease, and grime. If you want more steam you can loosen the fill cap, and for hard-to-clean areas, flip the brush over to release water from the scraper brush and use the scraper to bust-up and melt-away even the most stubborn, baked-on residue. So stop using those more toxic cleaning chemicals, stop the back-breaking work – this tool will give you a sparkling clean grill in minutes!Keep your BBQ looking like new all summer long!
